Ingest orders from Bandcamp into Ochre

In order to allow native fulfilment and management of Bandcamp Orders within Ochre, each order will be ingested into Ochre after it is placed. The ingestion process does everything needed to make Order fulfilment possible, including: 

• Linking Order Items to specific Formats (and therefore linking to connected SKUs)
• Determining Shipping Location
• Setting Fulfilment Groups (i.e. Order Items to be shipped together)
• Setting Postage Option for each Fulfilment Group

Provided that the Store is configured correctly, all of the above steps will take place automatically. Once they are complete, each order will be placed into New status, indicating that the order is ready for fulfilment. 

Shipping Location and SKU Availability

Our understanding is that Bandcamp will show stock to Customers based on two things:

• The Customer’s shipping location; and
• The per-product postage settings within Bandcamp. Setting a postage rate for a given shipping location will enable an item to be fulfilled from that Shipping Location. 

When Ochre receives an order, Bandcamp will indicate which country (i.e. shipping location) an item will ship from; we will respect this instruction and attempt to fulfil the order from the warehouse set up for that location.
