Add required metadata to Shopify catalogue items within Ochre

Catalogue Metadata Setup

Before any Orders are ingested from Shopify via Ochre, and as new products are added to your Shopify store - it is essential to populate a few pieces of metadata for each Product on Ochre to make fulfilment possible. These are:

• Release Date on Formats - Setting release date ensures that pre-order items do not ship early, and ensure that embargoes are respected. These dates are not settable on Shopify, so should be set on Ochre.
  
  For existing Shopify stores managed via Ochre, we will pre-populate any release date information already held in Whiplash - but these dates will need to be checked for accuracy prior to relaunching the store.
   
• SKU - Connecting each format to one or more Ochre SKUs ensures that ingested Shopify order items can be properly matched with inventory in the correct Warehouse. This also makes it possible for stock to be decremented as Shopify orders are ingested. If you are using multiple Warehouses, a SKU will need to be set up per Warehouse.
  
  For existing Shopify stores managed via Ochre, we will pre-populate any SKU information already held in Whiplash - but these will need to be checked for accuracy prior to relaunching the store.
   
• Format Type - Setting this for each Product ensures that Shipments contain the right Tariff Code information for international shipping. Without this, Orders will not ship. Please note - while Country of Origin and HS (Tariff) Codes can be set on Shopify, we do not currently read these - they will need to be set on Ochre.
  
  Important note regarding US Tariffs - as Ochre does not collect payment or calculate tariffs for Shopify orders shipping to the US, we cannot guarantee whether or not tariffs will be due on arrival to the US.
   
• ‘Fulfilment Grouping’- As with Ochre Stores, setting a format to ship separately means that order items are separated into the right fulfilment groups, and correct postage is applied to each. If you have any products that you want shipped separately, this option will need to be selected manually. Select: 'Fulfilment Grouping - Print / Poster', or ask Ochre Operations to set the product to ship separately.

Other metadata which can be set for Shopify products

• Artist and Label - While these are not strictly required for shipment, Artist and Label should still be set up on Products imported from Shopify. This ensures proper functionality of Ochre-side features. 

  For example, these fields are used when auto-naming newly-created SKUs, ensuring usable titles both on Ochre Admin and in the warehouse.
