USA Customs And Duties Update
Please find below an update regarding shipping goods to the USA. This represents our current understanding of the changes this is still an evolving situation and so further changes are to be expected over the coming weeks.
- Carriers are temporarily suspended shipping to the USA. We have been advised that updated services will be available shortly after the rules change.
- As standard we have not paused sales on Ochre stores but have are applying the following messaging for orders shipping to the USA from other countries:
Due to changes in tariffs and duties for goods entering the USA we expect there to be delays in dispatching orders. Carriers have temporarily suspended shipping, but we have been advised that they will have services up and running in the coming weeks. If we experience longer delays we will keep you updated. At any time you have the option of cancelling your order.
If you wish to pause new sales to the USA please let us know and we will assist with this.
New shipping methods
- We are still awaiting pricing confirmation from our carrier, but they are confident of being able to offer duty paid services to the USA.
- We are being advised that these will start to come online from next week, but may take several weeks to be operational for all carriers and some specific services may take longer.
- We are being advised that there will be additional administrative fees as well as the tariffs. However, we have not got clear information on pricing as of yet.
Tariff Rates
- We have been advised by the carriers that work work with that the tariff rates are as listed below. This is the best information we have regarding this at this time. We will start collecting these on the Ochre checkout as soon as possible. However, you may want to adjust your USD pricing on key items in the interim.
- These Customs and Duties are an additional cost that will have an impact on your margins for presales already taken. If you wish to cancel any presales or make arrangements to dispatch from the USA please let us know so we can assist you with this.
Country Of Origin
- By the 22nd September we will have added the ability to select a country of origin for your goods in Ochre. This can be done in bulk. We will need you to have applied this to your products for us to be able to ship them to the USA. We will send a note to you once this is ready.
